Je suis vigie

About Je suis vigie

Je suis vigie – aged 16 and under (general public)

This educational activity is aimed at young people aged 16 and under. It is designed to be accessible, concrete, and close to their reality. It raises awareness of the role of mental health caregivers and helps them better recognize this reality among people around them.

Content is presented in simple, adapted language to support understanding, with no prior knowledge required. Throughout the educational activity, young people develop reference points to recognize, among the people in their circle, those who may be caregivers or young caregivers of someone living with a mental health problem. They learn to welcome confidences with respect, without judgment or stigma, to listen with empathy, and to communicate in a caring way.

The educational activity also helps them know which resources to direct young caregivers toward when needed, while respecting their own limits. It also fosters self-recognition among young people who may be mental health caregivers without being fully aware of it. An important section is devoted to self-protection, in order to preserve their well-being and mental health in their role as a watcher and in everyday life.

The educational activity consists of a module lasting about one hour, accessible at any time on a computer, tablet, or phone. It can be followed freely, in any browser, and at their own pace. It is possible to create an account to save progress, but it is not required.
